Infographic: Policing in Oklahoma

I made this graphic based on the findings from a peer-reviewed study published in The Lancet, one of the world’s oldest and most respected medical journals, in October of 2021.

The vast majority of people who saw this infographic, which gained A LOT of traction on Twitter, most of them Oklahomans themselves, were blown away. This is why it’s so important to stay on top of research and make that information digestible and accessible to the general public. We won supporters with this graphic, and won the minds of many white Oklahomans who learned what Black Oklahomans have known since before statehood- the state of policing in Oklahoma is dire.
